Waterborne Signs/Billboards
Throughout Florida people are forming new companies to advertise via large scale LED Billboards aboard boats. Some ordinances prohibit these displays and the City of Stuart defines prohibited “Waterborne Signs” as :
“A sign displayed on a vessel plying the waterways, excluding those required by law for the identification of the vessel.”
Precedent for regulation of waterborne signs exists in the state of Florida: Stuart, Delray Beach, St. Petersburg and elsewhere.
