Ingrid McClellan

Ingrid McClellan was the Executive Director for 22 years of Keep Manatee Beautiful Inc., the Keep America Beautiful nonprofit affiliate for Manatee County in Florida, and is now their Executive Director Emeritus. Prior to Keep Manatee Beautiful, she was active with Keep America Beautiful since 1989 with three years in Texas and four years in Sarasota County, Florida. She worked at Sea World of Texas and the Texas General Land Office in coastal management and education, including Keep Texas Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Beach Program. In Sarasota County, she coordinated Keep Florida Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Shore Program for that county when employed as Education Coordinator of Mote Marine Laboratory. She also has been a Science Educator for secondary and higher education in Hawaii, Texas and Florida.

Ingrid has been married for more than 30 years to her husband Rusty. They like to travel, when not gardening, sailing or spending time with their Sable Collie named Corie.

Ingrid uses her three Master degrees in natural resources, mass communications and science education to assist Manatee County’s citizens in enhancing their community environments from shorelines to urban forests, and in striving to be good stewards of God’s creations in Florida. Her record of involvement in Manatee County includes serving on the City of Bradenton Tree and Land Preservation Board, Manatee Chamber of Commerce Natural Resources Committee, and various other government, private and nonprofit organization boards.
