Travis is the current Vice-President & Chief Technology Officer of Leap Frog Group, Inc.
Travis Jarman’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. Postgraduate studies include the University of South Florida College of Business, the Harvard Business School’s Managing the Information Services Resource (MISR) program and Stanford University’s American Electronics Association (AEA) Executive Institute.
Following college Mr. Jarman joined Honeywell International’s Avionics business where he held a variety of positions in program management, production and inventory control, and finance. From 1974 through 1983 he worked as a systems analyst and manager in Honeywell’s corporate offices, where he was responsible for the staffing, development and oversight of a number of computing service related organizations. He became Honeywell Space System’s Director of Information Systems in 1990, a post he held throughout the remainder of the decade.
From 1999 through 2002, Mr. Jarman was Vice-President, Information Technology for The New Piper Aircraft, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of general aviation (recreational and business) aircraft, located in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mr. Jarman is currently Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer for Leap Frog Group, Inc., a St. Petersburg corporation that advises clients on the effective implementation of e-business solutions.
Mr. Jarman’s hobbies include flying, amateur radio, boating and electronics. He is a FAA licensed pilot and a certified instrument ground instructor. He holds both an Advanced amateur radio and a General Class (Commercial) FCC license.
His personal interests include reducing visual and audible environmental pollution, and the use of technology to improve the quality of personal and work life.
