INGRID MCCLELLAN, SCENIC MANATEE IN BRADENTON
Ingrid McClellan is the Executive Director Emeritus of Keep Manatee Beautiful, the Keep America Beautiful nonprofit affiliate for Manatee County, after being their director for 21 years. She was active with Keep America Beautiful since 1989, previously involved in San Antonio, Texas and Sarasota, Florida. She was also the Education Coordinator at Sea World of Texas in San Antonio and Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota. She has also been a Science Educator for secondary and higher education in Hawaii, Texas, and Florida.
Ingrid has been married to Rusty for more than 35 years. They have lived in Bradenton since 1991.
She currently uses her graduate degrees in mass communications, natural resources, and science education to assist three scenic highway organizations in Manatee County and to support Scenic Florida in enhancing our environment, from shorelines to urban forests. She has served on the City of Bradenton Tree and Land Preservation Board, Manatee County Environmental Lands Management and Acquisition Committee, and Manatee Chamber of Commerce Natural Resources Committee.
