Carl E. Hintz, AICP, ASLA is a licensed landscape architect and planner with over 45 years of experience in the public and private sectors. His municipal experience includes the preparation of master plans, urban designs, zoning and design ordinances and site/subdivision reviews. Mr. Hintz has prepared plans for regional and state agencies including the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Delaware River Port Authority and NJ Transit. He has prepared transportation design recommendations for the state transportation department and for various municipalities.

Mr. Hintz is recognized as an expert in planning, urban design and environmental issues, having testified as an expert witness before numerous superior courts representing the NJ Department of Transportation and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection.

Additionally, he has been adjunct professor of planning at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Planning (Bloustein School), and an undergraduate adjunct professor at the Rutgers Planning School and the Department of Landscape Architecture.

His education includes an undergraduate degree in Planning from Rutgers University, an undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers, a Masters of Urban Planning from New York University and has completed coursework toward a PhD in Environmental Planning from Rutgers. Mr. Hintz has served as a president of the NJ Chapter of the American Planning Association, and has served on the Board of Directors of Scenic America. He has been a speaker at the American Planning Association national meeting and numerous other speaking engagements. Mr. Hintz has been the recipient of numerous planning and design awards.
